Before you ship
Get it ready in five calm steps.
A quick prep keeps your data safe and your offer on track. Take your time — nothing here is rushed, and nothing’s final until you approve your quote.
- 01
Back up what you want to keep
Save games, screenshots and clips to the cloud or a USB drive. Once it’s wiped it’s gone — so grab what matters first.
- 02
Sign out of your accounts
Remove your PlayStation, Xbox or Nintendo account so the console is no longer linked to you. Exact steps for yours are below.
- 03
Turn off any locks
Clear parental controls, passcodes and any account or activation lock so the console can be tested and resold cleanly.
- 04
Do a factory reset
Restore it to factory settings to erase your data and preferences. We’ve put the exact menu path for your console below.
- 05
Take out your stuff
Eject any disc or cartridge, and remove memory/SD cards, cases and personal accessories before you pack it.
How to do it on your Nintendo Wii
- Sign out
- There’s no account on the Wii — nothing to sign out of.
- Factory reset
- Wii Options → Wii Settings → Format Wii System Memory (this wipes saves and Miis).
- Remove locks
- Wii Settings → Parental Controls → clear the 4-digit PIN. Remove any SD card.
Your data is protected. Not sure on a step? Send it as-is and we’ll finish the reset for you. Either way, every device is securely wiped again the moment it reaches our Lake Mary testing station — we never browse your files, and you can change your mind any time before you accept your offer.
Sell with confidence
Your device is in safe hands.
We’re new to selling direct — but not to refurbishing. TRS has been a top-rated console seller on Amazon Renewed and eBay for years; here’s exactly how we keep your sale safe.
A real, registered facility
TRS Solutions is a licensed refurbishment business in Lake Mary, Florida — a physical facility with a team, not an anonymous middleman.
Free, fully insured shipping
We email a prepaid, tracked label. Your device is insured door to door, so it’s covered every step of the way.
Your data, wiped for good
Every device is factory-reset and securely data-sanitized the moment it arrives. Sign out before you ship and we double-check.
Payment you can count on
Your quote is locked when you ship. We pay promptly after a quick inspection — and if you don’t love the final offer, we ship it back free.
Is TRS a legitimate business?
Yes. TRS Solutions is a registered refurbishment facility in Lake Mary, Florida. We’ve tested, graded and shipped thousands of consoles as a top-rated seller on Amazon Renewed and eBay — the buyback program simply brings that same trusted process direct to you. You can always reach a real person through our contact page.
How do I know I’ll actually get paid?
Your quote is locked in the moment you ship. After a quick inspection — usually a few business days — we pay by your chosen method. If our final offer ever differs from your estimate, you approve it first; nothing is paid or kept without your okay.
What happens to my personal data?
Every device is factory-reset and securely wiped on arrival. We recommend signing out of your accounts before shipping for your own peace of mind, and we verify the wipe as part of our standard inspection.
How is my device shipped — and who pays?
We do. You’ll get a prepaid, fully insured, tracked shipping label by email. Pack your device, drop it off, and you’re done — shipping is on us and covered against loss or damage in transit.
What if I change my mind?
There’s no obligation at any point. If you decline the final offer after inspection, we return your device to you for free. Nothing is final until you accept.
